E
Edger
A common concrete tool that is used to create a smooth radius along the rim of a concrete form.
Epoxy
A two component flooring material that is used as a protective coating in many interior applications. Flakes, pigment, metallic’s, and color change effects can be added to epoxies to give a decorative finish.
Exposed Aggregate
Concrete that reveals the aggregate that is embedded in the surface. A surface retarder is sprayed on the concrete immediately after it is finished which breaks up the top layer of “cream,” or Portland cement. After the concrete has cured for a day or two a pressure washer is used over the entire surface to remove the top layer of Portland cement that has been weakened by the surface retarder. Pea gravel is a common aggregate that is used in exposed aggregate finishes.
EZ Tique
A unique antique coloring system produced and created by Proline. After the concrete is stamped using a clear liquid release, EZ Tique is brushed onto the stamped surface adding a secondary color to the joints and texture impressions.
