Do you find yourself having to go back to projects for sealer issues related to moisture trapped under the sealer? We can help you avoid the cost and pain that comes with these sealer issues. Many times, sealer gets applied with too much moisture still in the concrete. even when the concrete looks dry shortly after washing and cleaning the concrete is more than likely not. Concrete acts like a sponge so the surface may appear dry, but moisture lurks in the saw cuts, grout lines, and low-lying areas on the surface. If you have standing water, use a leaf blower to remove the water before applying this technique.

Not that all standing water is removed use a propane torch to remove the rest of the moisture. Slowly glide the propane torch across the concrete surface to draw out the rest of the moisture. When using the propane torch, you will want to be extra careful around materials that melt or burn such as siding or wood. Avoid holding the torch in one place to long, the heat can cause the concrete to fracture. You're now ready to apply your sealer with less concern about moisture being trapped under the sealer.

Buy yourself a propane torch today and reduce sealer failure! For more tips and techniques, www.TechniqueOfTheWeek.org
