Surface Prep

  • Sand floor with 80 grit sanding screen, utilizing an orbital floor buffer or equivalent
  • Thoroughly vacuum all dust and debris from surface
  • Treat all seams and/or surface gaps with Sika 1A (or other approved joint filler)
  • Use putty knife to smooth out material
  • It is important to have all sub flooring as flat as possible

Mixing & Application

  • Equip a drill with a spiral ribbon mixer
  • Blend product for 5 minutes until product has uniform gray color
  • Pour mixed product onto floor and spread using a 3/16" v-notched squeegee to properly gauge out material at the rate of 40 square feet per gallon
  • Back roll immediately with a 3/8" nap roller
  • Allow to cure for a minimum of 12 hours at 70-80 degrees F
  • Minimum application temperature is 50 degrees F
  • If coating has been down for more than 24 hours, you must wipe surface down with xylene before installing any topcoat
